[Preliminary Entry] A historical account written in 1260/1844 by an anonymous author on the history of the rajas of Amber and Jaipūr and their genealogies. The book covers the historical period from the origin of the dynasty to the year of composition. It concludes with the assassination of Jai Singh (r. 1819-1835) by Cauthā Rām and the proclamation of the former’s infant son Rām Singh (r. 1835-1880). The manuscript preserved in Cambridge is complete whereas the one in the British Museum contains only some extracts of the book.
